Under eye filler is a non-surgical and minimally invasive procedure to soften and correct the appearance of tear troughs. Our Master Injectors utilize hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers to add just the right amount of volume.
Under eye filler is used for alleviating darkness and bags under the eyes and can be accomplished using one of several different types of fillers, with hyaluronic acid being the most common. Under eye filler is not permanent but will provides a non-invasive solution for the appearance of tired eyes.
What does under eye filler treat?
Under eye filler is injected beneath the eyes to lighten the tear trough, reducing the appearance of under eye shadows and fine lines.
How long does under eye filler last?
Dermal fillers are biocompatible, injectable substances that create lift, restore volume, and diminish fine lines in the face.
Restylane, Juvéderm, and Voluma are made of a soft gel hyaluronic acid.. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that naturally occurs in the human body, and it is found in our skin. It helps hydrate and adds volume to the skin. It is naturally broken down by our own bodies. Radiesse consists of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a natural mineral component found in bone. These microspheres stimulate your own collagen. Over time, the body degrades the calcium hydroxylapatite and gel, leaving behind your natural collagen.
As we age, we lose volume in key areas of the face. This contributes to folds, wrinkles, hollow temples, thinning lips, sunken eyes, and an older appearance to the face. Fillers can be used to restore this volume loss, smooth out folds and wrinkles, and improve contours to achieve natural results without altering facial expression. Certain fillers can also be used to correct scars.
The effects are long-lasting but not permanent. They last 6 months to 1 year, depending on the patient’s age, the area treated, type of filler used, the quantity of filler used, and lifestyle.
Most patients experience mild discomfort. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the skin prior to the treatment for a more comfortable experience. Many of our fillers are also formulated with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort.
Patients can generally expect a smoother, more refreshed look, with results visible immediately after treatment. While individual results may vary, outcomes typically last 6 months to 1 year.
