Tamika Burks, ACLP, is a passionate, skilled, and advanced-trained medical aesthetician and laser practitioner who has been with Skin Cancer Specialists, P.C. & Aesthetic Center since 2017.
She worked as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Skin Cancer Specialists, P.C., while she completed her training at the Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics (AIA) in 2019. After graduating, she accepted an aesthetic position at SCS and immediately began working in that role.
Her passion lies in customizing the best treatment plan for each patient. She combines her aesthetic expertise with her extensive experience and knowledge as a dermatology CMA, which she gained from working in general dermatology, cosmetics, and Mohs skin cancer surgery. Tamika places great importance on skin health and education, ensuring that each patient receives the knowledge they need to help achieve their skin goals. This commitment reassures patients that their skin health is in the best hands.
Tamika is certified in numerous skin treatments, including microdermabrasion, LED therapy, dermaplaning, chemical peels, Hydrafacials, CoolSculpting, microneedling, reflexology, resurfacing lasers, photo rejuvenation (IPL) and BroadBand Light (BBL). She also has advanced training in the management of all Fitzpatrick skin types.
In her spare time, Tamika pursues advanced training and education to stay updated in the field of Aesthetics/Beauty. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, traveling, and cooking.
