Dr. Jennifer L. Buckley grew up in Flanders, a small town in northern New Jersey. She attended the University of Vermont and graduated with a degree in social work. After working for several years as a social worker in a hospital setting, she decided to pursue a career in medicine. Despite being accepted to several medical schools in the New England area, she decided to travel south to attend Tulane University School of Medicine. During her time as a medical student, she also attained a master’s degree in public health. Dr. Buckley distinguished herself as a medical student and was the recipient of the Merck Award for Outstanding Performance as a Medical Student. After fulfilling a one-year rotating internship, she completed a three-year residency program in dermatology at Tulane. After finishing her residency, Dr. Buckley moved to the state of Georgia and entered private practice.
She has published several articles in the medical literature on dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Buckley is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (board certified). She is a member of the following organizations: American Academy of Dermatology, Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, American Medical Association, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Atlanta Women’s Medical Alliance.
The focus of her practice is general and cosmetic dermatology. She is an active member of the medical staff at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, and Northside Hospital.
